CCB February Report

The Grant County Copper CowBelles held their monthly meeting on February 19th. We regretfully accepted the resignation of President Deborah van Telligen who is moving closer to family. She installed Annette George as president and Jeannette Hamilton as secretary (replacing Annette) as her last duty. Guest Sherri Bays was introduced and she announced that she will be joining as a member.

The opening reception for the ranching exhibit at the Silver City Museum was a huge success and we were thanked for our participation in gathering information for the displays and for providing the goodies for the reception. The exhibit is open for the entire year. An update was given for the Cash Party happening the end of April and that silent auction items are needed.

A committee will be formed to create and maintain a “box” for hosting receptions for memorial services. Items needed for serving food, coffee, napkins, plates etc. will be restocked after each event.

  1. We are wondering – at the Silver City Public Library – if you would like to put up a display/information about your organization in one of our glass cases for a month. Many different organizations do this and maybe you would like to too. Please let me know.
