SILVER CITY John and Josie York, apple growers in the Mimbres Valley, were named Farm Family of the Year by the state’s largest agriculture organization at the 96th annual meeting of the New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau.

Copper CowBelles made an appearance at the Grant County Fair! I barely remembered to take incriminating pictures in time! Sorry to the other gals that I remembered so late, I’m sure they are heartbroken! And, a huge thank you to all those who bought a ticket to help support our scholarship raffle! Leslie Crumbly was the official winner of the raffle! Congrats to her and thanks to all those who came by to support us!

New Mexico Ag in the Classroom is looking for the 2014-2015 Teacher of Excellence. This prestigious award offers many rewards and opportunities. We hope that you or someone you may recommend will be the next New Mexico Agriculture in the Classroom Excellence in Teaching about Agriculture Award Recipient.
Award recipients are honored each year at the New Mexico Farm & Livestock Bureau Annual Conference in November. This year the award winning teacher will get to travel to Louisville, Kentucky on June 16-20, 2015 to be honored at the National Ag in the Classroom Conference.
